We’re Jason and Vanessa, two booksellers, writers, and the owners of Brown & Dickson. We don’t sell books on our website. Instead, we sell books out of our shop to locals. That might be a bad idea. We don’t care. That said, if you see a book you want, email us. You can also buy books from our bookmobile, a converted school bus that we take to special events in the region.
Our used bookstore shares a storefront with vintage stores Back to the Fuchsia, The Sentimentalist, and Baba Yaga’s House, so when you come to visit us, you step into collaborative space filled with all sorts of secondhand merchandise. We’re located at 1025 Elias St., in London, Ontario, Canada.
The books we love are uncommon and charming: offbeat pulps, fine literature, artist’s books, local history, counterculture, quirky non-fiction, rare scholarly books, and comix. We carry all sorts of general books on most topics at our store.
Altogether we’re busy, dedicated folks, and are always pleased to hear from readers, book collectors, event organizers, or eager arties looking for a place to call home. Mostly, we just love books a tonne and want to share that mutual love with you.
