Texas-born photographer and writer Stephanie Chernikowski moved to New York City in 1975 where an embryonic punk music/art scene offered inspiration for her early photographs. Her work has appeared in numerous books and periodicals including the Village Voice, Rolling Stone, and the New York Times, and in photographic exhibits in the United States and Europe.
