The Macmillan Company of Canada, 1947.344 pp. First edition.Hardcover. Very good in a good jacket.
Jacket has seen better days. The spine is faded, and there is a small chip in it as well. Jacket edges are rubbed, and some well meaning fool has reinforced a few edge tears with scotch tape. We have priced it accordingly. There is also an owner's sig. on front free endpaper and dedication page.
Despite all of this "personalization" the jacket remains intact and bright and the red cloth is bright as well apart from the a small fade from the jacket chip. We doubt it will sell, as it's a strong yet homely thing. But we love it so if it stays on the shelves that is perfectly fine and we don't mind one bit.
