This event came from us needing to celebrate two years of bookselling at 609 Richmond Street in Downtown London. We turned to two heroes of ours: Bob and Doug MacKenzie for inspiration. To celebrate, we bought two-fours of stubbies, set up plastic chairs in our basement, and screened in partnership with the excellent Odyssey Records (now our neighbour at 1025 Elias Street) the masterpiece Cancon cult movie, Strange Brew. Justin was on hand toqued and in full Master of Ceremonies mode, with pizza in-hand. We got sauced and had a blast. A few photos of the event are below.
