Eager Poets and Their Incessant Poeting

With recent provincial re-opening news, and the increase of active vaccinations in the community, we are busy at work making some of our exiting bookshop plans a reality. While we are still VERY hesitant to rush things, the changes we are seeing, including the smart and careful choices of friends, family, and bookshop folks, give us hope that we will be hanging out in the bookshop sometime in the believable future. This is so relieving and heart-warming that it gets our feverish creative brains firing like we’re five-years-old. Almost every night both of us are talking plans and ideas, so if all goes well, you’ll see something fresh in these emails sometime very soon.

The first step, however, in our “refreshing” of things is the transitioning of our successful Patreon program. This has been an essential part of the shop and we thank all of you who have been a part of it. We are remaking our Patreon memberships into to a more open bookshop Membership. Yay Bookshop Memberships! This new program is more accessible, and comes with a hearty website upgrade, making credit and membership benefits easier to use. We are pretty pumped about this, so see more about details and benefits below.

Now, after all that throat-clearing, we are also excited to announce that Jason’s newest book (he insisted that we announce it AFTER the membership news) is being released by Baseline Press on June 15th this summer. He’s very proud of it and has been lording its excellence all over the house. His teenage pretension has RETURNED IN FULL FORCE! God help us. Save us from eager poets and their incessant poeting. Save us from Jason suddenly leaping up at the diner table to speak on subjects rare and beautiful. AS IF THE STATE OF THE WORLD WASN’T BAD ENOUGH! However, if this is your sort of thing (and from our subject turnover stats…it is) we encourage you to PAY THIS BOY SOME ATTENTION, if only to stop him from hiding in corners moodily and writing things down while staring at everyone.

With all our love,
Jason and Vanessa
