Our New Space is Open Tomorrow!

Dear Book Lovers,

We are opening a new store!

Tomorrow morning at 11 am, you can walk into an expansive warehouse at 1025 Elias St., and see bookshelves filled with books. You’ll also see jaw dropping vintage furniture and decor and a divine collection of vintage clothing and accessories.

That’s right B&D’ers. Against our better judgement and abilities as middle-aged hipsters, we are OPENING A NEW STORE in the Old East Village.

BEHOLD!!! THE VINTAGE SHOWROOM!!!

We are collaborating with other innovative small business owners to bring you the ultimate vintage shopping experience, showcasing the wares of Back to the Fuchsia, The Sentimentalist, and Baba Yaga’s House! All of these remarkable dealers are now available under one roof. You might think this means we have a small little booth somewhere but NO. Look, we have to tell you—there are more shelves in our new space than we’ve ever had before! It’s enormous!

By this Saturday these bookcases will be filled with the marvellous stock and personality Brown and Dickson is known for around the civilized world.

So what does it mean?!?

What this means is that we’re open again. WITH REGULAR HOURS!!! We are open to visit and welcome the weary world into our ample bosoms.

Browse. Dream. Get your pick-up orders. Ogle the baby. Test your wits.

It’s a fantastic neighbourhood, with Odyssey Records, the Forest City Gallery, Art East and Anderson’s Ales on the same block. We’re gonna be drunk with literature!

As for our colleagues in the space, Back to the Fuchsia is the BEST vintage furniture shop in town, run by the brilliant Mary Hinton. And The Sentimentalist? Melinda sold Jason one of his favourite shirts 20 YEARS AGO! She worked at the storied LAYMAN HOUSE! If there’s anyone who knows vintage clothing in London, it’s Melinda!

That shirt got Jason so many dates, although the bad romantic decisions were entirely his (not the shirt’s).

So.. TOMORROW, we will be having a soft opening at the new location: 1025 Elias Street, 11 am – 7 pm. Do come down. We will be there. Mary and Melinda will be there. BOOKS WILL BE THERE!

We hope to see you there!

Much love,
Jason and Vanessa
