Frank Campbell was among the most prolific authors of BDSM fiction. His publisher, House of Milan, operated out of Illinois and opened the first fetish clothing store in America. He befriended John Savage, a fetish photographer, to whom he dictated his books when his health began to fail. After Campbell's death, Savage ghost-wrote ten more books under his name. Savage has since written under his own moniker, and has now exceeded the number of titles that Campbell published, honoring the legacy of his mentor, who was a pioneer in modern fetish erotica.
