We have a number of exciting things to share with you.
We are pleased to announce limited edition B&D t-shirts. These subtle and nuanced garbs are inspired by the many students who walk by our shop seeing our street sign and thinking we’re called ‘BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS.’ One sweet boy told his girlfriend to meet him ‘on Richmond by that old, weird bookshop, you know the one, BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS…no? Too creepy? Okay I’ll meet you at Price Al’s instead.’ Perfection. One of these days we are going to get a creepy neon sign to hang in our window displaying this haunting and cognitively confusing passage for all students to see. It will be a symbol of our current times, our current struggles, and that state of future Richmond Street.
Also, it’s been brought to our attention that Patreon is charging everyone in US dollars. We’ve had a few members offer feedback on this and honestly we apologize. We thought that it would be in CDN since we are, well, Canadian. This is something we mean to address calmly without burning down the White House again. So from now on Brown & Dickson Patreon memberships are even LESS! This labyrinthine currency debacle will not deter us from our course. Our memberships now start at a mere $3.75 (with the same original credit amount applied). So if you were hesitant to sign up for ANOTHER rewards program (such an awful phrase) maybe the macro world of International competition has done you a favour, for once.
Third, we have a great crop of New Arrivals available on our site. These are truly awesome. We recently purchased a collection of Fine Literature with many first editions and we’ve started the Herculean task of cataloguing these door-stoppers of robust, civilization defining prose. So many farmsteads, so many wrought urban heroes, so much existential confusion. Here is the first batch for you lovelies. See link below.
As always, our best to you and yours. Keep fighting the good fight, and don’t let the morans win.
All the best,
Jason and Vanessa
